Back in the days

The electric bicycle is a relatively new invention, but it has a long and interesting history. Early versions of the electric bike were actually developed in the late 1800s, but they were not very successful.

It wasn’t until the early 1900s that electric bicycles began to gain popularity, and they became a common sight on city streets in the 1920s. Interestingly, the electric bicycle was actually invented before the automobile.

The first electric bike was developed in 1891 by Ogden Bolton, Jr., but it wasn’t until the early 1900s that electric bicycles began to gain popularity. The first mass-produced electric bike was designed by H.K. Porter in 1895, and electric bicycles became a common sight on city streets in the 1920s.

However, the electric bicycle fell out of popularity in the 1930s due to the advent of the automobile. It wasn’t until the late 1970s that electric bicycles began to gain popularity again, and they have been growing in popularity ever since.
