What is a seated electric scooter and how does it work?
A seated electric scooter (or electric scooter with seat) is an electric personal mobility device designed with a built-in ergonomic saddle for a seated riding experience. Unlike traditional standing scooters, riders operate the throttle and handlebar controls from a comfortable seated position. Choosing a scooter with seat offers superior balance, less fatigue on knees and back, and greater stability for longer commutes.
Is an electric scooter with seat legal in Singapore?
Motorised personal mobility devices (PMDs) in Singapore must comply with LTA regulations, including the UL2272 fire safety certification, a maximum device weight of 20kg, width of 70cm, and a capped speed of 25 km/h. Compliant e-scooters are permitted on shared cycling paths and Park Connector Networks (PCN), but are not allowed on pedestrian footpaths or public roads. Always check device specifications or speak with our team to verify current LTA compliance before purchasing.
Where can I use a Seated Electric Scooter in Singapore?
A Seated Electric Scooter Singapore unit is commonly used in private properties, industrial compounds, warehouses, and designated areas where electric mobility devices are permitted. Public path usage may be restricted depending on local regulations. Before riding a Seated Electric Scooter, users should confirm whether the intended area allows electric mobility devices. Responsible usage helps ensure safety and compliance while reducing the risk of fines or penalties.
How fast can a Seated Electric Scooter go?
Most Seated Electric Scooter models can travel between 20 km/h and 45 km/h depending on motor power and battery configuration. Some premium models are designed for stronger performance and longer-distance travel. Riders using a Seated Electric Scooter Singapore model should always operate the scooter responsibly and at safe speeds suitable for the environment. Speed performance may vary based on rider weight, terrain, and battery condition.
How much does an electric scooter with seat cost in Singapore?
Prices for quality, UL2272-certified seated electric scooters in Singapore generally range from $999 to $1,499 depending on battery capacity, motor quality, and brand (such as eDegree and Express Drive). Eko Life also offers flexible monthly installment plans to help riders own their ride affordably with zero upfront strain.
How far can a Seated Electric Scooter travel on one charge?
Most Seated Electric Scooter models offer a travel range between 20 km and 60 km per charge. The actual range depends on battery capacity, rider weight, terrain, and riding style. A high-quality Seated Electric Scooter Singapore unit with a larger battery can support longer rides and daily commuting needs. Proper charging habits and battery maintenance can also help maximize performance and battery lifespan.
Are Seated Electric Scooters safe to use?
A Seated Electric Scooter can be safe when operated responsibly and maintained properly. Many models are equipped with safety features such as front and rear brakes, lights, suspension systems, and durable tires. Riders using a Seated Electric Scooter Singapore model should wear protective gear, avoid overcrowded areas, and regularly inspect the scooter for maintenance needs. Safe riding practices significantly reduce the risk of accidents and improve overall riding experience.
What features should I look for when buying an electric scooter with seat?
When selecting an electric scooter with seat, key factors to consider include battery capacity and range (e.g. 40–60 km for daily commuting), comfortable seat cushioning, dual braking systems, tire size, and carrying capacity. If you need practical storage for grocery runs or work gear, look for front basket or middle storage compartment options, and ensure the vehicle meets UL2272 certification standards.
Does a Seated Electric Scooters require maintenance?
Yes, regular maintenance is essential to keep a Seated Electric Scooter operating smoothly and safely. Maintenance tasks include checking tire condition, inspecting brakes, monitoring battery health, and ensuring all electrical components function correctly. Proper servicing helps extend the lifespan of a Seated Electric Scooter Singapore unit while improving safety and performance. Riders should follow manufacturer recommendations for maintenance schedules and battery care.
Where can I buy a reliable Seated Electric Scooter in Singapore?
You can purchase a reliable Seated Electric Scooter Singapore model from mobility retailers, electronics stores, and reputable online platforms. It is recommended to buy from trusted suppliers that provide warranty coverage and after-sales support. A quality Seated Electric Scooter should offer dependable battery performance, durable construction, and long-term reliability. Comparing features, customer reviews, and servicing options can help buyers choose the right scooter for their needs.

Before purchasing I actually message this friendly fellas on TikTok from which they whatsapped me and send me pointers on what to do and what not to do. After some advice I took the pab test again they had good advice and how to make it stress free Z I manage to pass the test at 98.9% pass rate thankfully .. then upon my friend advice .. I decided to look upon second hand even though my first response is to buy new. After trying the second hand I decided the service on the second hand was decent enough to save some money . Encountered a huge problem during the payment . Thankfully they are flexible enough to be ok partial in cash and grabpay. Was able to settle it without worrying about high cost too. All in all I Bought a second hand ebike . Process was fast. Thanks to Robert for assisting. Top quality service from Robert even to assisting to putting device in my ride home affixing pedals and rack. Also staff were straightforward in explaining the terms and conditions. And transferred the ownership alrdy just one day after dealing. Hope to deal again with them soon.

Before buying the Jimove MC Pro from Eko Life Canberra branch, I have been making many enquiries the clear my doubts and the staff there, replied me patiently, even at that point of time I didn't even take the PAB Theory Test yet.
On 23 Dec 2024, I visited the branch for a test ride and decided to buy it using my Grabpay Later together with CDC voucher.
While making payment, I met with some issues and thus, Lance and Zavier helped me throughout the whole process (which required a few more troublesome steps) to complete the payment.
I am grateful to Lance and Zavier for their awesome services and even now, they still answer my questions promptly.
I received my items on 24 Dec 2024 without any delay. Tested the ride and so far, I am happy with it and really enjoy it.
I will buy the maintenance package from them when needed.
To Lance and Zavier,
Thank you and good job. 👏👏👏😊😊😊

Just bought an e-scooter from Eko Life at Tai Seng and had a really great experience. The owner is super friendly and patient. I tested a lot of different bikes while I was there, and he never got annoyed or rushed me—really took the time to help me find the right one.
In the end, I bought a scooter that I’m really happy with, and he even included some free gifts! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good service and honest advice. Thanks again!

Superb Service for My Ji-Move MC Pro 2.0!
I brought my Ji-Move MC Pro 2.0 e-bike at Ekolife Tai Seng and was absolutely blown away by the level of service! The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely professional. They took the time to understand the issues I was facing and quickly resolved everything with great attention to detail.
The turnaround time was fast, and they even gave me a rider starter kit consisting of a helmet, bicycle lock and a phone holder. It’s rare to find such a dedicated team who genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. Highly recommend Ekolife Tai Seng to any e-bike owner looking for reliable and top-notch service.
Will definitely be back in the future. Thanks again for the amazing service!

As 1st time ebike users, We did out homework online on the different brands of ebikes, sellers and finally decided on visiting Eko Life (Tai seng) . We were promptly served by Marcus and he provide wonderful suggestions . We managed to get 2 ebikes that fit our budget and rode them home on the same day. Thank you Marcus for acceeding to our many requests for add-ons. Will definitely visit if we require any maintence or upgrade our bikes in the future.

Very horrible service, brought my fiido for the 199 package upgrade and waited 4 days just for them to tell me they don't have the xod brakes that are included in the package and want to change for a cheaper brand lebycle and still want to charge me same price. Then suddenly they ask for 100 top up for them to install higher end brakes, the xod on their website is $109 while the brakes they recommended dyisland mt600 is $160, so I asked them why am I topping up $100 instead of $51, I should be paying the price difference between the two right?? And they say it's for labour charge. Why suddenly want to charge for labour when it's alr included in the package that they don't have and still advertising?!?!? I would not have minded paying another 51 on top of the 199 package but 50% more than the cost of the package is too much.
after cancelleling the package they had to put back everything that was taken out and was clearly simply anyhow done, the brakes and the switch for the light on one side of the bar completely switched sides and the other side is normal and all the wiring is horribly done with the brake wiring infront of the fork and not behind and anyhow zip tying my wiring wrap which left and dent in it after removing, and my rear brake suddenly feeling alot softer than the other. Mechanic seems to take no pride in his work and it was clearly and completely anyhow put back together even after showing them a picture how it was originally.
Online service also very horrible, they take very long to reply and only have to call then they repond, this really wasted my time and petrol had to wait almost 6 days to get it back with nothing done.
HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED IF WANT TO REPAIR OR INSTALL ANYTHING GO FALCON PEV THEIR SERVICE 10TIMES BETTER AND MECHANIC ACTUALLY DOES A GOOD JOB
